Chartered in 1968, our club is located in the mountain community of Oakhurst, California.  In addition to supporting all Soroptimist projects & awards, we are very involved in all aspects of our local community.

What a busy month for SI of The Sierras!

  • Christmas Tree Auction for Boys & Girl's Club
  • Breakfast With Santa with Kiwanis Club
  • Decorated the tree for our local nursing home.
  • Military Servicemen's and women's packages
  • Club Christmas Party

 

Violet Richardson Award

Deadline to apply is December 1st.

This award is given to an outstanding teenage girl (age 14-17) who is an active volunteer in our community.

$500 will be given to her charity of choice!

Women's Opportunity Award

The deadline to apply is December 15th.  

This award is normally given to one woman each year, but this year our club will award two deserving women each a $1000.00 grant for educational expenses, whatever they may be.
